About
Deborah Solo is a professional singer-songwriter, music teacher, and fiction writer.
She is proudly part of the Denver-based indie-band, The Deborah Solo Trio. They feature guitar, cello, inventive percussion, keys, three-part vocal harmony, and lyrics that sink in. Solo feels lucky to get to collaborate with her incredible bandmates, Kari Clifton (cello & vox) and Chad Johnson (percussion, vox, bass, keys, recording, mixing, and mastering). Their new album, 1 a.m. Parade (2024), is out now on all streaming platforms.
Solo teaches private and small group classes for all ages in voice, guitar, music theory, and songwriting. She teaches part-time in her home and through Swallow Hill Music Association. She has recently helped to establish a Teen Songwriter Workshop and Showcase at Swallow Hill. The first installments have featured amazing teens! She has completed several manuscripts that are each in various stages of editing. Each manuscript features LGBTQIA+ characters and issues of mental health. Deborah is currently unpublished and in the process of pursing traditional publishing. Please click the author tab to learn more!
She is from a small town in Michigan and has lived in the Denver Metro area for over ten years. She has a BA in English from the University of Michigan and a BA in Music Education from MSU Denver.
